Honesty
Limits and data
This page collects what you should know before you rely on something — including the things that don't exist yet.
The data
- Every answer a mock gives is synthetic. There's no account at the real provider behind it and no real records.
- No third-party credentials are involved. Mockd never asks you for another service's API key.
- What your agent sends as arguments is stored in the trace.
- Anonymous sessions and their traces are deleted automatically once their window has passed.
- Mockd has no business relationship with the providers whose servers are mocked. Names and trademarks belong to their owners.
What isn't here yet
| Topic | Status |
|---|---|
| Login and persistent sessions | Being built. Today everything is anonymous and expires. |
| Replay and comparing two runs | Being built. What you already have today: a reset restores exactly the same starting state. |
| Targeted failure injection | Next up. Today a scenario applies to the whole session. |
| Connecting your own MCP server | Next up. Today Mockd mocks; the pass-through to a real server is being built. |
| Automatic run checks | Next up. |
| A full API reference | Not written yet. |
Something missing?
If an explanation is missing, or a mock you need, tell us: contact@mock-d.com. We'd rather write the page you went looking for than a reference nobody asked for.
